Community Engagement & Partnership:
As a school board member, one of the most important and enjoyable aspects of our role is to engage with our amazing community members here in Mequon-Thiensville. Since joining the school board in June of 2024, I have greatly valued the many listening sessions, office hours, and community conversations that I have had with engaged members of our community. We must continue to utilize this important feedback so that we are always meeting our community where they are at and providing them with transparent and accurate information that they deserve. Actively seeking input and having open, bi-directional communication are critical to ensuring an informed public. We must continue to strive to meaningfully and effectively engage, educate and inform our entire community.
This past fall, as we worked tirelessly to inform our community about the financial challenges our district – like many others – faced here in Wisconsin, I greatly appreciated the healthy dialogue that transpired. As a board member, I learned of the concerns and priorities of our community members. We must continue this engagement, as it makes our district stronger and healthier and allows our community to be involved in working towards our common interests. I look forward to continuing these efforts to further the rapport and trust that is necessary to achieve our collective goal of making MTSD the best district in the state.
